How it works
Scan a food. Get the answer in the right order.
The ordering is the product. Nibbino always leads with the verdict, then the reason, then how to serve it — because a verdict on its own isn't useful or trustworthy.
Two ways to scan
📷 Photo
For whole, unpackaged foods — a wedge of avocado, a strip of steak, a whole grape. Vision identifies the food.
📊 Barcode
For packaged products — pouches, puffs, yoghurt, cola. Resolves to the product and its nutrition data, scored for infants.
The result, always in this order
- Verdict — recommended, recommended with care, or not recommended. Never a vague "safe".
- Why — the driving reason: salt, sugar, additives, choking shape, or allergen.
- How to prep and serve safely — the most valuable line, like "quarter grapes lengthwise".
- Allergen flag — against the EU-14 and US top-9 allergen lists, with an introduction note.
- Age — the honest baseline (around 6 months for most whole foods) plus the real gates like honey before 12 months.
- EU vs US notes — EFSA and AAP guidance, because the rules genuinely differ.
Frequently asked questions
Does Nibbino work on packaged products?
Yes. Scan a product barcode and Nibbino resolves it to the product and its nutrition data, then scores it against infant salt, sugar and additive limits. If the product isn't found, it asks you to photograph the nutrition label.
Is Nibbino medical advice?
No. Nibbino is guidance based on published EFSA (EU), FDA and AAP (US) infant-feeding guidance. Always supervise feeding and consult your pediatrician.
Guidance, not medical advice — always supervise feeding and consult your pediatrician.
